Oregano & Lemongrass Scalp Conditioner

To kickstart your hair care routine, I highly recommend incorporating a thorough detox to eliminate years of accumulated chemicals and toxins from your hair. Mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 1/2 to 3/4 cups of water into half of the detox clay mix. The mixture should have a slightly lumpy texture, akin to pancake batter—avoid making it too runny.

Gently apply the mixture to your hair and scalp, ensuring even coverage, and then cover your hair with a plastic bag for 30 minutes. For added effectiveness, you can opt to sit under a hair dryer. The detox clay mixture will effectively draw out toxins from your hair and scalp, restoring your hair to its natural state. For optimal results, follow up with Sunny in Denbigh's Deep Conditioner.

Additionally, you can apply the excess mixture to your face and leave it on for 15 minutes before washing it off with warm water.

Conclude the process with your preferred moisturizer, leaving your face feeling rejuvenated and invigorated.

Now it’s time to feed those strands! Warm up your Overnight Deep Conditioner by letting it thaw at room temperature or setting the container in a bowl of warm water, then stir until it’s creamy. Section your damp hair and apply the conditioner from root to tip using an applicator bottle. Cover with a plastic cap and let it work for at least 4 hours. 

Overnight is ideal, so pop a towel over your pillow because a little seepage can happen. Short on time, or have low porosity hair? Sit under a hooded dryer or steamer for 45 minutes instead. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, and don’t forget to put any leftover conditioner back in the fridge or freezer!

Time to cleanse without stripping. Wash your hair twice with our Black Soap Shampoo. It’s a low-lather formula, so don’t panic 

if it doesn’t foam like the drugstore stuff. Focus on massaging your scalp with your fingertips to lift away buildup and the conditioner, then let the suds run down your strands as you rinse. Rinse completely with warm water. 

Your hair should feel clean, soft, and ready for the next step, not squeaky or tight.

Detangling day doesn’t have to be a battle. While your hair is still damp, section it and spritz each section with our Leave In Conditioner & Detangler. 

Gently work through knots with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb, starting at the ends and working your way up to the roots. This step adds a layer of moisture and slip so your hair stays soft, manageable, and easy to style.

Seal it in! Apply our Herbal Growth Oil to your scalp and along your strands to lock in all that moisture while supporting growth and thicker-looking hair. 

Part your hair into sections, apply to your scalp, and massage it in with your fingertips to get the blood flowing. Smooth any extra down the length of your hair. Got thin spots or edges that need extra love? Layer our Intensive Scalp Oil on those areas, up to twice a day.

Last step, and it’s the finishing touch. Use our Hair Butter to style your hair, protect your ends, and keep your strands conditioned and repaired. 

Warm a small amount between your palms and smooth it over your hair, giving extra attention to your ends and edges. A little goes a long way, so start small and add more only if you need it. Your hair will feel soft, look shiny, and stay moisturized between wash days. 🌻
