Re: I have Low Porosity Hair and Heat Damage

For our customers with Low Porosity" Hair, you will need to wash your hair every week to keep it free from build up.
Low Porosity hair simply means that you hair cuticles are close together which makes it difficult for products to penetrate the hair. Products may appear to sit on top of the hair. Conditioning with a Heated steamer and increasing the frequency of washes will help this.
With the strict use of our products and a tailored regimen you will experience more manageable hair, thickness and overall growth.
Let’s get you the products you need and on a hair regimen that will help you achieve your goals.
Product Recommendation:
Growth Bundle
Protein Bundle
Liquid Leave In Conditioner
Regimen:
Stick to a strict wash day schedule every single week. Start with our Detox Clay (every 6 months) to remove any product buildup from your hair and then follow the instructions in order via the link below:
You should do a Deep Condition (with Protein treatment once a month) for 35-45 minutes while sitting under a heated dryer or steamer every week for the first 2 months and then you can move to every 10-14 days after that if you choose.
Wash with our Clarifying Shampoo once a month on Wash day. Wash your hair every single week on wash day with our Black Soap Shampoo 2x. Pay close attention to cleaning your scalp to remove any product buildup, flakes or dandruff if applicable. Then rinse with cold or lukewarm water to ensure all shampoo is rinsed from the hair.
Use our Liquid Leave In Conditioner detangle your hair on wash day and to keep your hair moisturized in between wash days or to refresh styles.
Below please find the link to our product instructions for each product:
Use slightly less Hair Butter to install protective styles if you are naturally prone to oiliness. Air Dry your hair for the first 2 months to repair the damage to hair. No Blow Drying.
Use Spray bottle fill it with warm water ( will help to open the cuticle), part your hair, spritz your scalp and then apply the Intensive oil on any thinning areas ONLY and the Herbal Growth oil on the rest of your head near the scalp if your hair is naturally oily. Do this daily for massaging oil into scalp for 5-10 minutes, the first 2 months for best results.
Afterwards you can move to a Wash Day routine every 10-14 days depending on your preference.
Hope this Helps!!!
